Outdoor learning
Beach exploration
Beech Class boys enjoy getting out and about to a variety of different coastal walks taking in spectacular local scenery. Exploring, gathering and team building activities with different classes have given them great experiences in our local outdoor area.

Forest School
Quite a lot of our learning takes place away from the classroom.
Beech class have been enjoying forest school sessions this term at our school's own woodland near the residential school site. There we practice lots of different forest related skills, including map reading, shelter building, fire making and tracking. Pupils have had 1 to 1 support to practice whittling skills and axe work.
Local exploration
Beech Class enjoy cycling locally, using the Tarka Trail which is ideally located near us at school. Pupils have even gone for a visit to our local Art Gallery/Museum, to learn about local artefacts and history.
