In the classroom
This summer term, we are continuing our topic on World War 2. We have been finding out about many of the different aspects of the war, and how the lives of ordinary people were affected during the wartime years. This has included rationing and living through the Blitz, to the impact on people living in Europe at the time, like Anne Frank.
We are also studying a geography topic 'Enough for Everyone' in which we are learning about the importance of natural resources and using them wisely.
Elsewhere in the curriculum, this term we will continue to practise our times-tables on TT Rock Stars, our number bonds on Numbots, and will be revising calculations, and studying measurement, functions and sequences, and translation and transformation in maths. We will also be continuing to sharpen up our English skills with a fiction unit inspired by Illegal, a graphic fiction text about the plight of a group of migrants who try to cross the Mediterranean Sea in hope of a better life.
