  • Children In Need 2023

    Fri 17 Nov 2023

For Children In Need, Beech class invited each of the other classes to come and decorate Pudsey Bear biscuits. There were some pretty good likenesses of Pudsey, too! Many thanks to the staff and boys from Beech for doing all of the baking, and for supporting the younger pupils with their biscuit decorating.

  • Sports Day 2023

    Wed 12 Jul 2023

Somehow dodging the showers which were forecast for the morning, our 2023 Sports Day was a massive success. This year saw the introduction of team names - which were all animal themed - and Cat's Cats deserve a special mention for getting into the spirit and competing in the events with whiskers drawn on their faces. This year saw the introduction of some new events, and the space hopper relay was probably the most entertaining of these. It looked exhausting!

It was Joe's Jaguars who were victorious after the points were tallied up, and they were all delighted to go home wearing their winners' medals. However, everyone who took part deserved congratulations for their effort, attitude and teamwork.  Well done to Alex, who won the Spirit of Marland award for being a fantastic team player, giving every event his best effort and encouraging his teammates throughout the morning.

  • Sciencedipity Workshop

    Fri 23 Jun 2023

Seven primary students were lucky enough to head over to our Barnstaple secondary school in order to take part in a Sciencedipity workshop. The boys got to grips with the basics of electrical circuits before learning more about conductors, insulators and resistance, and found out that they could even make a circuit containing LEDs and Playdoh. Some of them tried out a Van de Graaff generator which made their hair stand on end.

  • Trip to RHS Rosemoor

    Tue 22 Nov 2022

On a very wet Tuesday morning, three of our classes visited RHS Rosemoor to take part in a creative workshop titled 'Inspirational Nature'. The boys went on a guided garden walk collecting interesting things and looking at the sculptures, then headed back to the Rosemoor classrooms to create some natural art with the various leaves and flowers they had collected. There was also time to make some mini clay sculptures and a plant some pea-shoot heads to bring back and grow in school.

  • Sports Day 2022

    Thu 07 Jul 2022

We held our annual school sports day on the morning of Wednesday 6th July. The children worked together in teams, competing across a range of events including basketball shooting, cross-bar challenge, vortex throw, and tennis ball keepy-ups. There was some fantastic participation, effort and teamwork throughout the morning, and the scores showed it was a very close-run competition.

Well done to everyone who took part!

We are very excited that construction work on our new classroom building is almost complete. In only a few weeks, we will be welcoming students into two new custom-built classrooms.

  • Red & Yellow Class Trip to Really Wild Learning

    Thu 07 Oct 2021

Our youngest pupils spent the morning at Really Wild Learning, meeting a variety of snakes, lizards, frogs and invertebrates. They had a fantastic time there, and even got to hold some of the animals.
